Police have launched an urgent appeal to locate 28-year-old Paul Merrett, who has been missing from Woolwich for over two weeks.
Paul was last seen leaving Greenwood House Memorial Hospital on January 22, and it is believed he may have boarded a bus towards Shooters Hill shortly afterward.
Public Urged Not to Engage Directly
The Metropolitan Police have classified Paul as vulnerable, urging the public not to engage with him directly if spotted, but instead to report any sightings immediately to authorities.
Description of Missing Man
Paul is described as:
- Slim build
- Brown hair
- Last seen wearing a black jacket, black jumper, blue jeans, and light blue Crocs
He is known to have connections to Croydon, prompting local police in Croydon to also share the appeal.
Police Statement and Appeal for Information
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Officers are carrying out multiple enquiries to locate Paul and are appealing to anyone who may have seen him to get in contact. Paul is vulnerable, and members of the public are asked to contact the police directly rather than attempt to engage with him.”
