Forth Valley Rapist Sentenced to 10 Years Behind Bars
Karl Calder-Harley, 26, has been handed a hefty 10-year prison sentence for a string of sickening sexual offences, including rape, in the Forth Valley area. The shocking verdict came down on Tuesday, 10 October 2023, at Edinburgh’s High Court.
Alongside his jail term, Calder-Harley faces indefinite registration on the sex offenders list and a massive 99-year non-harassment order.
Brutal Crimes Spanning Eight Years
The court heard how Calder-Harley targeted two victims—a one-year-old and a teenage girl—between June 2013 and May 2021. His crimes involved violent, controlling behaviour that has left long-lasting scars.
Police Back Victims, Call for Public Help
“Calder-Harley conducted violent and controlling behaviour towards his victims, and I hope this verdict will bring some form of closure for them,” said Detective Inspector Forbes Wilson of the Forth Valley Public Protection Unit.
DI Wilson reassured the public that Police Scotland remains relentless in its pursuit of sexual predators. They work closely with justice partners and support networks to protect victims and nail offenders.
