Police quickly launched a manhunt, focusing on a male suspect known to Lisa. Later that evening, the suspect’s car was found abandoned on the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge. A handgun was discovered inside the vehicle, leading investigators to believe the suspect had entered the water below, either deliberately or accidentally.

Ongoing Search for the Suspect

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Higham, who is leading the investigation, provided an update on the ongoing efforts to locate the suspect’s body.

“We have carried out a full and extensive investigation into Lisa’s tragic murder, and our enquiries have concluded that the suspect is believed to have died after falling into the River Thames,” said DCI Higham.

Extensive searches of the river have been undertaken with assistance from the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, and the Coastguard. Despite days of combing the river and its banks, no body has yet been recovered.
