A 31-year-old man was arrested late Wednesday night following a tense showdown involving a machete in Peninsula Square, Greenwich. The Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene around 11:26 PM on February 19 after reports of a knife-related altercation sent shockwaves through the busy area near the O2 Arena.

Officers acted quickly, detaining the suspect on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
