Massive Fire Flares Up in Early Hours
A fierce fire tore through several vehicles and two shipping containers in the early hours of the morning. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Firefighters Battle Smoke and Flames
Station Commander Dave Bracewell, on the scene, said: “Firefighters faced a well-developed blaze as soon as they arrived.” Crews raced against time to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings, using a turntable ladder to douse the flames from above.
“The fire produced thick smoke, so residents nearby were advised to keep doors and windows shut,” Bracewell added.
Swift Response and Investigation Underway
- The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 13 calls reporting the blaze.
- The fire service was alerted at 1:30am and had the fire under control by 3:42am.
- Crews from Chingford, Enfield, Edmonton, Woodford, Tottenham, and surrounding areas joined the effort.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
