Parcel Bandit Strikes Twice on St Lesmo Road

A sneaky thief hit St Lesmo Road, Stockport, twice in two days, stealing parcels right from residents’ doorsteps.

December 19: Quick-Strikes Parcel Theft

On 19 December 2022, the crook targeted three addresses between 3.20pm and 3.30pm. He grabbed parcels from each doorstep without a hint of hesitation. Then, brazenly, he pretended to be a homeowner and even signed for a delivery right on the same road.

Return Visit With Shopping Bag Full of Swag

The very next day, 20 December, the man followed a delivery driver into an apartment block. Using the tailgate, he gained entry to the mailroom, then filled a large shopping bag with over 30 parcels belonging to residents before dashing off on foot.

Suspect Description & Appeal for Info

The thief stands about 5’6” tall. At the time, he wore a black cap, a black bubble coat, a hat, and covered his mouth with a scarf. Police urge anyone with information to call 101 or contact independent crime charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
