South Woodford Underground Incident: Person Under Train

An incident at South Woodford Underground Station on George Lane, South Woodford, has prompted a swift response from Transport for London and emergency services. According to initial reports, a person was discovered beneath a train on the westbound platform of the Central line.

Emergency services were dispatched immediately after the incident was reported on Tuesday 25th February 2025.

Police have cordoned off the area as  Paramedics and firefighters battle to free the trapped person.

Officers from British Transport Police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the event. At this stage, it remains unclear whether the person involved sustained any injuries or if the incident was accidental or deliberate.
