Police are urgently searching for a suspect after a child’s jaw was broken in a violent attack while walking home from school in Enfield.
The unprovoked assault took place between 3pm and 4pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Kendal Parade and Derwent Avenue, N18.
Attack Details & Suspect Description
The child, who was walking home alone, was punched in the face, suffering a broken jaw and requiring hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as:
- White male, aged 20-25 years old
- Stocky or chubby build
- Wearing a green tracksuit with the hood up
- Blue trainers and possibly blue gloves
- Clean-shaven with a foreign accent
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the attack or have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.
A police spokesperson said:
“We are appealing for witnesses after a child was assaulted, resulting in a broken jaw. The attack happened on Friday 6th December 2024, between 3-4pm at Kendal Parade and Derwent Avenue, N18. The child was alone whilst walking home from school and required hospital treatment.”
