Pamela Bach, the former Baywatch star and ex-wife of David Hasselhoff, has died at the age of 62.

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Bach was found at her home in the Hollywood Hills on 5 March, having died by suicide.

A Career in Television

Bach gained prominence in the 1980s and 90s, with roles in popular television series, including:

  • The Young and the Restless
  • Cheers
  • The Fall Guy
  • T.J. Hooker
  • Superboy
  • Viper

However, she was best known for her role in Baywatch, where she starred alongside her then-husband David Hasselhoff.

Marriage to David Hasselhoff

Bach and Hasselhoff met while filming Knight Rider and married in 1989. The couple, who were one of Hollywood’s most recognized pairs of the time, had two daughters, Hayley and Taylor Hasselhoff. They divorced in 2006.

Following her passing, Hasselhoff released a statement:

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.

In Bach’s final Instagram post on New Year’s Eve, she expressed excitement for the upcoming year and the joy of watching her granddaughter, London, grow:

“Seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing.”
