Nine nabbed and drugs galore seized in Kent Police swoop! As part of a nationwide crackdown on organised crime, Kent cops have hauled in cannabis, cocaine, and weapons in a series of raids.
Operation Mille: Taking Down Drug Rings
Throughout February 2025, police forces across the UK joined forces in Operation Mille. Their mission? Smash cannabis farms and seize illegal supplies. Between 14-24 February, Kent Police executed search warrants at eight homes scattered across Rochester, Meopham, Greenhithe, Maidstone, and Tonbridge, delivering a serious blow to local drug networks.
Key Arrests and Drug Hauls
- 14 February – Rochester: Around 40 cannabis plants ripped from a building during a separate bust.
- 16 February – Greenhithe & Dartford: Four London men arrested after cops find cannabis plants, harvested drugs, and paraphernalia.
- 17 February – Meopham: Over 140 cannabis plants seized from a garage and outbuilding. Investigations underway to name suspects.
- 19 February – Tonbridge: Three detained after raids at two properties. Police nab cannabis, imitation firearms, cash, and branded drug bags.
- 21 February – Maidstone: Cocaine and £1,100 cash found at a property. One man charged with possession with intent to supply and criminal property offences. He appeared in court on 24 February and is now remanded in custody.
Police Warn of Dangers Behind Drug Cultivation
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Davies said: “Cannabis cultivation and drug supply are linked to numerous criminal and gang activities, street violence, and the exploitation of vulnerable people. These grows also cause severe property damage and create serious fire risks, endangering entire communities.” “We’ll keep gathering intelligence, making arrests, and pushing offenders to court to keep Kent safe.”
