Two Women Arrested Over Theft at London Central Mosque During Ramadan

Two women were arrested after Muslim worshippers at London Central Mosque reported thefts during evening prayers on Friday, March 7. The daring incidents unfolded during Ramadan prayers at the mosque on Park Road, near Regent’s Park.

Suspects Nabbed on the Spot

Police swooped in at around 6:30 pm following reports of multiple thefts. A 42-year-old and a 19-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft from several victims, confirmed the Metropolitan Police.

“Police were called at approximately 6.29 pm to a report of theft at London Central Mosque. Two women, aged 42 and 19, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft from multiple victims.”

Worshippers Shocked as Suspects Blend In

Witness Robleh Adam revealed the suspects entered the mosque dressed in traditional Islamic clothing during prayers. He said:

“Once Ramadan prayers started, some people dressed in traditional Islamic clothing entered the building and were allegedly spotted stealing.”

An Uber driver on site alerted worshippers to the suspicious activity and quickly contacted police.

The number of victims and stolen items remain unconfirmed as the Metropolitan Police continue their probe. Authorities urge anyone affected or who witnessed the thefts to step forward.
