Man Arrested for Attempted Murder After Boy, 15, Stabbed in Birmingham

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Birmingham on Friday night.

Incident Details

West Midlands Police were called to Alum Rock Road, near the junction with College Road, just before 8:45pm after paramedics reported a stabbing.

The victim, a teenage boy, remains in hospital, though his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

It is believed the attack took place in the vicinity of nearby Morris Park, which remains cordoned off as police continue their investigations.

Arrest and Investigation

Officers from the Major Crime Unit arrested a 21-year-old suspect from a vehicle on Monk Road at around 4:00pm on Saturday. The suspect remains in custody as enquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward, particularly those with mobile phone, CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area.
