A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a daylight assault in Dagenham, prompting a police investigation and a public appeal for information.
Police were called at 09:02am on Tuesday, 11 March, to Longbridge Road, following reports of an assault. Officers responded swiftly alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, who treated the teenage victim at the scene before transporting him to hospital.
Authorities have confirmed that the boy suffered stab wounds, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police Cordon in Place, Investigation Ongoing
A police cordon remains in place at the scene as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack. No arrests have been made at this stage, and enquiries are continuing.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“Officers are in the early stages of their investigation and are working to identify those involved. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.”

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area at the time of the assault, especially anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage from the vicinity of Longbridge Road.
