Emergency Called After Welfare Concern

A man and woman were found with severe injuries at a property in Holstein Way, Thamesmead, sparking a tragic police investigation. Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly before 3pm on March 11 after concerns were raised about the occupants’ welfare.

Sadly, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Launch Unexplained Death Probe

Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, leading the investigation in Bexley, told residents: “I know many in the area will be wondering why police are active in Holstein Way. We are investigating the unexpected and unexplained deaths of two individuals.”

He added: “At this early stage, we believe the two people knew each other. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
