Brixton Stabbing Victim Named as Troy Ramsundar

Detectives have revealed the identity of the man fatally stabbed in Brixton. The victim is 34-year-old Troy Ramsundar. Police are urgently calling for witnesses to come forward as the investigation continues.

Early Morning Stabbing Shocks Brixton

Emergency crews rushed to Brixton Road, SW9, at around 5:10am on Thursday, 20 March. Reports came in of a man found with a stab wound. Despite quick action by police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, Troy Ramsundar was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

No Arrests Yet Despite Man Detained

A man was arrested at the scene but has since been released with no further action. Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, leading the case from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:

“My thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this devastating time.

I understand the shock and concern this incident has caused in the Brixton community. My team is working tirelessly to uncover what happened. We are gathering evidence and reviewing CCTV footage to piece together the timeline of events.”

Police Plea: Did You See or Hear Anything?

“If you were in the area between 4:45am and 6:00am on Thursday and noticed anything suspicious, please come forward. Even the smallest detail could be crucial to the investigation.

I urge local residents to speak with our officers if they have any concerns or information.”

A crime scene remains in place, and police patrols around Brixton have been increased to reassure the public.
