Drivers and commuters are facing major disruption this afternoon following an emergency services incident on Butts Green Road, near Emerson Park Station in Hornchurch.
The road is partially blocked in both directions, causing very slow traffic in the area. Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed that several bus services are currently being diverted due to the incident, including routes 165, 256, and 370.
Emergency vehicles were seen attending the scene earlier today, though the nature of the incident has not yet been officially confirmed.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes, while commuters are advised to check travel updates for potential delays.
A spokesperson for TfL said:
“There is an emergency services incident on Butts Green Road affecting both directions of travel near Emerson Park Station. The road is partially blocked, and traffic is extremely slow. Diversions are in place for several bus routes.”
It is unclear when the road will fully reopen, but local authorities are working to manage congestion and ensure public safety.
