Eight criminals jailed for nearly 30 years after £820,000 parcel heist in Warwickshire

Big parcel theft racket busted

Eight individuals have been slammed with a combined 29 years and 7 months behind bars after masterminding a major parcel theft scam in Warwickshire. The gang swiped more than £820,000 worth of high-end goods from a courier hub in Kingsbury.

The crimes stretched from September 2022 to February 2023. The crew pulled off a slick operation, rerouting expensive packages — including computers, TVs, and electric bikes — by slapping fake delivery labels over the originals to redirect parcels to safe addresses they controlled.

Goods sold online and shipped abroad

Some stolen loot ended up for sale on Facebook Marketplace and eBay. Others were found ready-packed for shipment to Romania, hinting at an international smuggling ring.

Heavy sentences handed down

Following a Warwickshire Police probe, the gang has been sentenced as follows:

  • Marius Marin (22) – 6 years (Conspiracy to Steal)
  • Angelica Stan (26) – 6 years (Conspiracy to Steal)
  • Toma Radu (24) – 5 years, 6 months (Conspiracy to Steal)
  • Andre Nenicioiu (24) – 5 years, 2 months (Conspiracy to Steal)
  • Giorcaev Radu (26) – 3 years, 9 months (Conspiracy to Steal)
  • Adrian Nenicioiu (50) – 2 years, 4 months (Conspiracy to Steal)
  • Rodica Nenicioiu (45) – 10 months, suspended sentence (Possession of Criminal Property)
  • Isac Dinu (23) – 2 years, 9 months (Conspiracy to Steal)

Fugitives on the run

Three crooks — Marin, Toma Radu, and Giorcaev Radu — fled to Romania mid-trial. Police are hot on their trail, pushing for extradition.

Warwickshire Police are also using the Proceeds of Crime Act to snatch back stolen assets.

Police fight back

“This was a carefully planned and well-executed operation targeting high-value items. The sentencing reflects the seriousness of the offences and the significant financial impact on businesses.
