Police Seek Help Following Hit-and-Run in Maidstone

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist sustained serious leg injuries in a collision with a van in Maidstone. The incident occurred at around 9:54 pm on Monday, 17 March 2025, on Staceys Street.

Emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene, and the rider was taken to a local hospital. The injuries to his leg were described as serious, though his current condition remains unconfirmed.

Driver Fled the Scene

According to reports, the pickup truck involved in the collision left the scene before police arrived. Later that evening, officers recovered a white Mitsubishi pickup truck from a nearby street.

A local man in his 20s was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail while detectives continue their inquiries.

Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who has not yet come forward to share information. Detectives are particularly keen to hear from local residents who may have CCTV footage or drivers who were in the area with dashcam recordings.
