Five years for cyber-flashing, arson and stalking terror campaign
Adam Woodhouse, 35, from Edrick Walk, HA8, has been locked up for five years at Harrow Crown Court on Friday, April 4. The dangerous offender was found guilty of a string of vile crimes against his ex-partner, including cyber-flashing, stalking, and arson with intent.
Year-long Abuse Campaign Ends in Jail
Woodhouse unleashed a terrifying wave of abuse after his relationship ended. For over a year, he bombarded the victim with hundreds of abusive messages and calls. He even recorded videos lurking outside her home, smashed garden pots, and smashed car windows to terrorise her and her children.
“I will go to prison for murder of you.”
The threats took a dark turn in July 2024 when he broke into her house, stealing all sets of keys and her car. Two months later, Woodhouse set fire to a moped outside her home, trapping the victim and her children inside. Emergency services rescued them unharmed.
After the fire, he cold-bloodedly called her, gloating and laughing about his actions. In his twisted spree, Woodhouse also sent unsolicited, threatening explicit images to his victim as he tried to dodge police.
Arrest and Court Drama
Police caught Woodhouse on September 30 in Lincolnshire. During questioning, he was aggressive, stole interview papers, and caused criminal damage by urinating in his cell.
He pleaded guilty to:
- Arson with intent to endanger life
- Stalking
- Cyber-flashing
- Burglary
- Taking without consent
- Criminal damage
The judge branded him a “dangerous offender” and slapped on a lifetime restraining order, banning any contact with his victim.
Victim Speaks Out
“What Adam has put my children and I through has ruined our lives completely, and I would never want any other woman to go through this. I would say to any other women who are experiencing domestic abuse to be brave, come forward, and get support from the police to get the justice you deserve.”
She thanked Detective Constable Olivia Fox for her unwavering support throughout the investigation.
Police Praise Victim’s Bravery
“Woodhouse demonstrated that he was an abusive domestic perpetrator, repeatedly targeting this young woman to the point this abuse took over her life. It takes a brave person to pick up with an emotionally draining investigation again, and I commend her tenacity and strength.”
“We are better trained than ever to investigate reports of domestic abuse and will continue to work with partner agencies to ensure that all victims get justice.”
