A man has been detained by police following a violent incident at a notorious Blackheath fair in Southeast London, A Road closure has been put in place in both directions at the junction of Shooters Hill Road.
Emergency services were rushed to the scene after reports emerged of a large group of males attempting to charge and attack security personnel on Tuesday afternoon.
According to witnesses, one of the males wielded a machete and attacked a teenager during the disturbance. The London Air Ambulance and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to the location to provide urgent medical assistance.
