London rocked by seven knife attacks in 72 hours

London has seen a brutal 72-hour spate of stabbings, with seven people attacked across the capital. Between April 9 and April 11, serious incidents unfolded in Greenwich, Plumstead, Woolwich, Stanmore, Clapham, Highgate, and Stockwell. Seven stabbings in distinct London spots

  • April 9, 2.22am, Stockwell: A man in his 20s was stabbed inside a shop on Wandsworth Road. Police say his injuries were non-life threatening.
  • April 9, 5.30pm, Greenwich: An 18-year-old male was stabbed on Hoskins Street after a reported group fight. He remains in hospital but is expected to survive.
  • April 10, 11.32am, Stanmore: A man in his 70s was attacked onboard a 340 bus on Uxbridge Road. London’s Air Ambulance rushed him to a major trauma centre; condition not life-threatening.
  • April 10, 6.10pm, Woolwich: A man in his 30s was stabbed in Parry Place. Police set up a large cordon but no arrests yet.
  • April 10, 9pm, Clapham: Another stabbing on Clapham High Street saw a man hospitalised with non-life threatening wounds. Three men were arrested for attempted murder.
  • April 10, 9.51pm, Highgate: A 34-year-old was stabbed in the back at a grocery shop on Swain’s Lane. A 54-year-old man has been arrested for wounding with intent.
  • April 11, 1pm, Plumstead: Near the Greenwich Islamic Centre on Plumstead Road, a man was stabbed and taken to hospital. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Police launch full investigation

The Metropolitan Police confirmed all incidents and warned the total crimes may be higher. Officers are actively investigating and have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage is urged to call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
