A man has been arrested after cops found a 30-inch machete hidden in his waistband during a stop and search in a taxi near Kidbrooke on April 10.
Sixth Knife Arrest in Just 12 Months
The suspect, already known to police for knife offences, was picked up by officers from the Met’s Uniformed Proactive Team 2. They spotted him in the taxi and acted fast.
Officers seized a large machete, complete with a red and black sheath and a curved hand guard—concealed on his person.
