Wembley Hit-and-Run Horror: Woman Dragged 30 Yards on Car Bonnet
Police are desperate to identify a woman injured in a shocking hit-and-run near Wembley Arena on the night of Thursday 17 April.
Chaos After Alkaline Concert
The incident happened on Engineers Way at around 11:10pm, just after dancehall star Alkaline had finished his gig. The street was packed with concertgoers.
Footage shows a woman dancing in the road, narrowly dodging oncoming traffic. Moments later, a car smashes into her, dragging her roughly 30 yards on the bonnet before she is thrown to the ground. The driver then sped off without stopping.
Suspect Arrested But Victim Still Missing
Bystanders quickly called emergency services, but when police and paramedics arrived, the victim had vanished. Despite a search, officers couldn’t find her.
A 33-year-old woman was arrested nearby on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving under the influence. She has now been released on bail, with a court date set for early June.
Police Urge Public to Identify Injured Woman
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“We are concerned for the wellbeing of the woman involved and urge anyone who knows her or witnessed the incident to come forward. It’s important we ensure she receives appropriate medical attention and support.”
