Man in His Twenties Seriously Injured in Bradford Shooting as Police Launch Attempted Murder Investigation

A man in his twenties has been seriously injured in a shooting in Bradford’s uk/topic/manningham/">Manningham area, prompting West Yorkshire Police to launch an attempted murder investigation. The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday in a car park off Oak Lane, near the junction with Victor Street.

Emergency services were first alerted when the victim arrived at hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are serious but not believed to be life-threatening. The man is currently receiving treatment as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

According to West Yorkshire Police, the shooting followed a verbal altercation between several males in the area. The force’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team is now leading the investigation.

Detective Inspector Suzanne Hall said:

“This is a very serious firearms offence which we are treating as an attempted murder. A number of enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened and who is responsible. We are committed to thoroughly investigating this incident and bringing those involved to justice.”

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have arrested four men in connection with the shooting. Multiple scenes remain cordoned off, and heightened police activity is expected to continue in the area as forensic teams gather evidence and officers conduct door-to-door enquiries.

The shooting has sparked concern within the Manningham community, with local residents expressing shock at the level of violence. Community leaders have urged anyone with information to come forward to help ensure public safety.
