Two Hospitalised After Lorry and Car Crash Near Erith Roundabout
Two people were rushed to hospital following a collision involving two lorries and a car near the famous De Luci Fish Roundabout in Erith today, Monday 28 April.
Queens Road Shut for Two Hours Amid Emergency Response
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene at around 10.36am after reports of a crash at the junction of Queens Road and James Watt Way. Queens Road was closed for approximately two hours as crews dealt with the incident.
London Ambulance Service treated the vehicle’s driver and passenger for minor injuries at the scene before taking them to hospital for further checks.
“We were called at 10.36am to reports of an incident at the junction of James Watt Way and Queens Road, Erith,” said a London Ambulance spokesperson. “We dispatched an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response car. Two patients were treated onsite and then taken to hospital.”
Police and Fire Brigade Also Respond
The Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade also attended the crash. A police spokesperson confirmed:
“Officers joined London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service at the junction where two lorries and a car had collided. The car’s driver and passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries. No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Road Reopens – Witnesses Sought
Queens Road has now fully reopened and traffic has returned to normal in the area.
Police are urging anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward. Witnesses should call 101, quoting reference 2333/28Apr.
