Kent Fire and Rescue Service launched a huge operation shortly after 2.30am, sending six engines to tackle the flames. As the fire raged on, the effort ramped up to nine fire engines, working hard to bring the inferno under control.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service tended to two occupants suffering from smoke inhalation. Thankfully, no one seriously injured. Emergency teams acted quickly to prevent the situation from worsening.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of a house fire in Millmead Road, Margate, at 2.30am on Friday. Crews used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control. The fire is now fully extinguished, and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.”
