Suspect Caught Trying to Break Into Cars in Crowborough

Sussex Police are hunting a man who made two attempted car break-ins in Crowborough early on Sunday, April 13.

Man Spotted at Two Locations

At around 8:30 a.m., a man was seen trying to access a parked car on Crowborough Hill. The suspect, described as having facial hair, wearing a white hoodie, and carrying a white bag, was interrupted by the vehicle owner and fled on foot.

Minutes later, he was spotted at a property on Green Lane, attempting to break into another vehicle and rummaging through bins.

Police Seek Witnesses and Footage

Officers are following several leads and have issued an urgent appeal for information. They want anyone with CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.

Sussex Police spokesperson: “We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen this individual or captured footage of him. Your information could be crucial to our investigation.”
