A woman is in a life-threatening condition after being struck by a bus outside Bond Street Station on Saturday, 31 May 2025.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 6:44pm, where they found the pedestrian seriously injured. She was treated by London Ambulance Service paramedics and later taken to a major trauma centre. The Metropolitan Police has since confirmed she remains in hospital in a “possible life-threatening condition.”

Major Emergency Response and Road Closure

Three buses were seen cordoned off by police tape with debris scattered across Oxford Street, prompting a significant closure of London’s busiest shopping thoroughfare. An air ambulance landed in a nearby park to assist emergency crews.

A Met Police spokesperson stated:

“On Saturday, 31 May, police were called to Bond Street, at 18:44hrs following reports of a road traffic collision between a bus and a pedestrian. Officers and paramedics attended. The woman was treated at the scene and taken to hospital. No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The London Ambulance Service added:

“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including a paramedic in a fast response car, an ambulance crew and an incident response officer. London’s Air Ambulance also attended. The patient was treated and taken to a major trauma centre.”
