For the first time since Donald Campbell CBE’s fatal accident on Coniston Water in 1967, his record-smashing hydroplane, Bluebird K7, will be reunited with the prestigious World Water Speed Trophy. The iconic duo will come together on Friday, 4 October at 10:30 am at the Royal Motor Yacht Club (RMYC) in Poole.
This marks a historic moment for speed fans and British engineering buffs alike as the legendary trophy—awarded to the fastest boat on water for the last 87 years—will be displayed alongside Bluebird K7. The event is open to media for a special photo call at the RMYC.
