Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body at a residential property in Portsmouth, sparking a major police investigation and an urgent appeal to the public for information.
Samantha Murphy, aged 32, was found deceased at a home on Wadham Road after Hampshire Police were called to the scene at 7:37am on Wednesday, 5 June. Her family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

As part of their ongoing enquiries, officers have issued a public appeal to locate a distinctive gold suitcase, which they believe could be crucial to the investigation.
“We are keen to locate this suitcase, as it may assist with the investigation,” said a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary.
Anyone who may have seen the suitcase or knows of its whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
