Tragic Drowning at Ensor’s Pool: Redditch Man Dies Swimming

A shocking tragedy struck at Ensor’s Pool in Nuneaton as 27-year-old Wojciech Berlan from Redditch drowned while swimming.

Emergency Rescue Fails to Save Man

Emergency services rushed to the picturesque spot at around 12:24pm on Sunday, 17 August. Witnesses reported Wojciech disappeared beneath the water and failed to resurface for over five minutes.

Specialist rescue teams launched a desperate operation. Despite their efforts, Wojciech was recovered lifeless and confirmed dead at 1:30pm.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“We are sad to report that 27-year-old Wojciech Berlan from Redditch has died after drowning at Ensor’s Pool in Nuneaton. His next of kin have now been informed,” Warwickshire Police said.

“Emergency services responded to reports at 12:24pm that a man had disappeared beneath the water while swimming and had not resurfaced for over five minutes. After being recovered from the water, Wojciech was confirmed deceased at 1:30pm.

“Our thoughts are with Wojciech’s family at this difficult time. Police are continuing to investigate on behalf of the coroner.”

Police are now urging anyone who was at the scene or has any information to come forward urgently.
