A fundraising drive has sprung up after the shocking stabbing death of 16-year-old Josh Ingram at Seaford railway station on Wednesday night, 10 September. Despite frantic attempts by paramedics, Josh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stabbing Horror at Seaford Station
Emergency teams from the British Transport Police, local officers, and the South East Coast Ambulance rushed to Seaford station just after 5pm following reports of a stabbing. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody. He is due in court today, but cannot be named due to legal restrictions on minors.
Major Crime Unit Launches Murder Probe
Detectives from the BTP Major Crime Unit have launched a full murder investigation. Forensic teams scoured the station, which was closed for several hours while the inquiry unfolded.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Stanley said: “This is a shocking incident resulting in the tragic loss of a young man this evening. The investigation is in its early stages. We urge anyone who witnessed anything before or during the stabbing to come forward. Your information could be vital.”
