Man Killed in Late Night Southampton Smash
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision involving two cars last night (February 20). Officers were called to the A3057, between Nursling and Romsey, at just after 10.30pm to reports of a collision between a black Volkswagen Lupo and a Silver BMW 520. Sadly, the driver of the Lupo, a 20-year-old man from Southampton, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the BMW and his female passenger suffered injuries and were taken to Southampton General Hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. Police are in the process of informing the deceased’s next-of-kin. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash is ongoing and officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen either vehicle prior to the incident, to come forward.
