A blue Vauxhall Astra involved in a crash at Fareham’s Quay Street Roundabout last night has made headlines twice this week. Luckily, the baby wasn’t in the car during this latest accident.

Baby Left Alone in Car Sparks Outrage

Earlier this week, the car’s owner was slammed on social media for leaving her young child alone in the vehicle while she popped into Asda on Newgate Lane, Fareham. A concerned follower posted photos of the toddler strapped into a car seat in the back of the blue Astra.

Crash After Phone Distraction

Witnesses say the woman was on her phone as she lost control taking the corner at the roundabout heading towards the M27. The car slammed into a lamppost, ended up on its roof, and a wheel was ripped off.

Road Safety Reminder

For your sake, your child’s, and other road users’ safety, always stay focused behind the wheel. Don’t use your phone and never leave children unattended in vehicles – it’s dangerous and illegal.
