The group told them they they were leaving on Friday. A spokesperson from Portsmouth City Council said: “We are undertaking appropriate procedures within the legal framework for responding to incursions on Council land, to ensure the caravans and vehicles leave the site at Spectrum. “We are working with police colleagues from the Safer Neighbourhood team, who are also aware of the current situation. “The occupants have been provided with bin bags, and arrangements are in place for the removal of rubbish on a regular basis as are patrols of the site, including over the weekend However, it isn’t an eviction notice that will force them to leave; the group say that they are returning to Sweden and France to escape the British winter and say that they are planning to leave tomorrow anyway.
