Homes evacuated after Large Fire at Fleet Leisure and Sports Club in North fleet
A large number of homes in Snelling Avenue in Northfleet have evacuated due to blaze at Fleet Leisure and Sports Club, Nelson Road. Six Fire crews are battling a very well developed fire at the derelict leisure centre that closed in 2013. Huge plumes of black smoke can be seen from miles around after the fire broke out at about 6.30pm on Tuesday evening. A spokesman for Kent Fire and rescue has advised residents to keep windows and doors shut the spokesman went on to say they have six fire engines and 35 firefighters tackling the blaze.
