One Person Taken to Hospital After Two Vehicle Crash in Brighstone

One Person has been treated by an Ambulance Crew and taken to St Mary’s Hospital following a two vehicle Collision in the Village of Brighstone on the Isle of Wight this morning. Emergency services were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Military Road just after 9.30 am on Tuesday morning. The two vehicle collision involving a Island Roads maintenance Works Van and a red KIA – happened on the A3055 Military Road near to the junction with New Road. It is understood one person has taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport with Minor Injuries and Whiplash. The road was closed for a short time whilst Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service Crews from Newport and Freshwater attended and made the vehicles and the scene safe. One lane of the Military Road remains blocked whilst a recovery of the vehicle takes place. The second vehicle involved has been driven away from the scene with minor injuries
