Three Hospitalised After Smash Shuts West Wight Road
A nasty three-vehicle crash has shut Middle Road in Freshwater, West Wight, leaving three people trapped and rushed to hospital.
Emergency Crews Race to Scene
Just after 12:30pm on Monday 26th March, fire crews from Newport and Freshwater were called to the collision. They battled to free three trapped passengers using cutting tools.
Injuries Not Life-Threatening
All three victims were swiftly taken to St Mary’s Hospital by Isle of Wight Ambulance service. Thankfully, their injuries aren’t believed to be life-changing.
Road Set to Reopen Soon
Police and recovery teams are now clearing the wreckage. The road closure is expected to end within the hour, easing travel chaos in West Wight.
