Teenager Grabbed and attacked at Southampton Bus Stop
Hampshire Constabulary are investigating a report of an indecent assault against a 15-year-old girl at about 4.30pm today (Sat 14 July) at a bus stop on the Woolston side of Itchen Bridge in Southampton. Police are actively investigating this incident and also trying to identify if this is linked to a previous similar report. Officers are aware that there is a post about this incident being shared on Facebook. We would urge anyone with information to call police and not take action into their own hands. Hampshire Constabulary say that they can confirm that a 70-year-old man from Essex has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in connection with the incident yesterday. He remains in custody at this time. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information, is asked to call 101 quoting incident 641.
