Gin Thief Threatens Shop Staff with Syringe in Portsmouth Spree

Police are hunting a desperate crook who threatened shop workers with a syringe while stealing booze in Portsmouth. The man struck multiple times over two days, pinching bottles of gin and vodka from supermarkets and threatening staff when caught.

Three Theft Blasts in Two Days

  • March 6, 7pm: The suspect grabbed several bottles of Gordon’s gin from Morrison’s on Flathouse Road.
  • March 7, 9:30am: Same man swooped again, this time nicking vodka from the same Morrison’s store.
  • March 7, 12:30pm–1pm: The thief switched it up, stealing washing-up tablets from Tesco Express on Kingston Road.

Staff Threatened, But No Injuries

When confronted, the man pulled a syringe or needle to scare off staff. Thankfully, nobody was hurt during these brazen raids.
