Knife probe launched after man stabbed twice in Portsmouth

Police in Portsmouth appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed twice in an assault in Portsmouth sometime between 10.30pm and 10.50pm, Saturday, April 20. A 31-year-old Portsmouth man suffered two stab wounds during the incident and is being treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham. His injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening. The incident happened initially in Tangiers Road near the Co-op but then moved into Lynton Grove. Police are investigating and officers are in the area carrying out enquiries. No one has been arrested at this stage. Anyone who saw or heard any of the assault or what led to it is asked to contact the Eastern Investigation Team on 101 and quote crime number 44190136697.
