Female Police Officer Hospitalised After Brutal Attack in Crowthorne

A female police officer was left fighting for recovery after suffering a broken leg in a shocking attack in Crowthorne.

Violent Incident on High Street

Police raced to the High Street near Lidl at around 8.30pm on Monday, April 15, after reports of a woman verbally abusing passersby.

The confrontation turned violent when the officer was attacked, resulting in a broken leg that required immediate hospital treatment. She remains in hospital at this time.

Suspect Arrested and Released on Bail

A local woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent. She has since been questioned and released on police bail until May 9.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“An officer suffered a serious leg injury as a result of this incident, and I am certain that this will have been witnessed by members of the public,” said Detective Constable Clare Hickman of Bracknell and 1 CID.

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident or who may have captured it on dash-cam to contact us on the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 43190114679.”
