Police Launch Murder Probe After Pensioner Found Dead in Southampton Flat
Police have opened a murder investigation following the death of a 70-year-old man in Southampton last night. Officers were called to his flat on Bursledon Road at around 9.02pm, where he was found dead.
Fatal Stabbing Reports Emerge
Unconfirmed reports suggest the pensioner may have been fatally stabbed. Authorities, however, have not officially confirmed the cause of death.
Next of Kin Informed
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.02pm on 15 February to a flat in Bursledon Road, Southampton, following the discovery of a man’s body.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed as detectives launch a full investigation to uncover the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
