Hit-and-Run Shocker in Waterlooville – Police Hunt Driver

Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a hit-and-run crash in Waterlooville left a cyclist injured.

Van Hits Cyclist and Flees Scene

The smash happened around 4.30pm on 21 April on Maurepas Way, right near the Asda store. A 56-year-old cyclist from Portsmouth was heading south when a white Mercedes Sprinter van slammed into him.

The van driver didn’t stop and sped off, leaving the man injured.

Cyclist Taken to Hospital with Minor Injuries

The victim was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital as a precaution. Thankfully, his injuries are minor.

Police Description of Hit-and-Run Van Driver

Officers describe the driver as a white man aged between 40 and 50 with a bald head. Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage.
