Jones Busted After Police Tip-Off
On 29 September, officers received a tip-off that Jones was distributing indecent images. They swooped on his home on 8 October to make the arrest.
Shocking Evidence Found on Phone
Police seized Jones’ phone and uncovered 226 indecent images. Many were Category A, the worst kind of child abuse images. He was also caught sharing a Category A video and seven indecent photos, including two at the highest severity.
Warning to Others from Warwickshire Police
“The children in these images suffered terrible abuse,” said Detective Constable Adam James from the Warwickshire Police Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team. “Jones and anyone accessing these sick images feed a disgusting trade.”
Jones Faces Life on Sex Offenders’ Register
Jones was handed a hefty prison sentence. On top of that, he must sign the sex offenders’ register for life and abide by an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
“We hope this sends a clear message,” added DC James, “to those who access indecent images of children. We will do everything to stop people like Jones from acting on their disgusting urges.”
