Masked Thugs Storm Family Home After Party Invite in Kingston
Two men turned a friendly party invite into a nightmare in Kingston-upon-Thames on 18 August. The victim, a 43-year-old man, invited them round to his home but soon felt uneasy and asked them to leave.
Brutal Break-In: Son Terrified As Thugs Attack
After the victim went to bed, a loud banging erupted at the front door. The same men, joined by a mystery accomplice, smashed their way inside. Armed with a saw and a hammer, they forced their way into the 14-year-old son’s bedroom.
The men punched and kicked the father before fleeing with his phone, watch, and cash.
DNA Evidence Nails Two, Third Suspect Still on The Run
Darnell Laxmidas-Elias, 20, and Nathan Walters-Coles, 19 — both from Mitcham — were caught after DNA from a water bottle at the scene linked them to the crime. They were sentenced at Guildford Crown Court after denying aggravated burglary.
The third suspect remains unidentified despite extensive police inquiries.
Police Call for Help to Catch Final Burglar
“This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim and his teenage son which made them fear for their lives,” said Detective Constable Lisa Larkin. “The two men would have faced longer sentences, but were just 17 when they committed the offence. Their imprisonment shows violent crime won’t be tolerated.”
