Hampshire Fire and Rescue rushed to a nasty two-vehicle smash at the infamous accident blackspot on Purbrook Way, right by the College Road junction in Waterlooville.
Fire Crew Battle to Free Driver
Three fire engines from Cosham scrambled to the scene. Crews quickly stabilised one car before using cutters and spreaders to remove the roof and extract the trapped driver.
Road Closures and Hospitalised Injuries
Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing have slammed shut the junction with road closures. An investigation into what sparked the collision is now underway. Those hurt were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Cosham.
