Chaos in Camden: Gunshots Fired Into BBQ Crowd Injure Four
Gunmen Open Fire at Camden BBQ
Police are hunting witnesses after gunshots rang out during a late-night BBQ in Camden. Shortly before 11.10pm on Saturday, 14 August, up to five unknown men arrived at a communal space in Clarence Gardens, NW1, and opened fire indiscriminately into a large crowd.
Four people were hit in the shocking attack.
Four Victims Hospitalised but Stable
Emergency services, including armed officers and paramedics, rushed to the scene. The injured— a 19-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, a 28-year-old man, and a 73-year-old woman—are all recovering in hospital. Thankfully, none are thought to be in life-threatening condition.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
Detective Sergeant Val John-Baptiste of Specialist Crime North pleaded for help: “We need anyone who witnessed the shooting or saw anything suspicious around Clarence Gardens to get in touch. Londoners deserve safety, and every gun on our streets is a serious concern.”
Police have yet to make any arrests. A crime scene remains in place, and locals can expect a heavy police presence while the investigation continues.
