Tragic Death of Andover Cyclist After Crash with Vauxhall Vectra
A silver Vauxhall Vectra and a cyclist collided on the B3400 between Andover and Hurstbourne Priors just after 10am on Friday, 23 July.
James “Jim” Tassell, 70, from Barlows Lane, Andover, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died from his injuries on Wednesday, 28 July.
81-Year-Old Driver Arrested Over Crash
The driver, an 81-year-old man from Whitchurch, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation as police continue their enquiries.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have dash cam footage of the crash.
