Teenager Seriously Injured in Midnight Hit-and-Run in Colchester

Essex Police are hunting for witnesses after a teenage pedestrian was hit by a grey Ford Kuga in Colchester in the early hours of Sunday, 29 August.

Crash Details and Arrest

The smash happened just after 2.15am at the corner of Barrack Street and Challenge Way. The teenage victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say a 34-year-old local man driving the Ford Kuga has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
